Learn to read Tarot:

I've been reading Tarot for around 45 years and teaching it for over 15 years.

I teach the principles of the Tarot, not a narrow, book-based outlook. Learn how to recognise what each card might be saying in a layout and develop your use of intuition and personal interpretation.

Learn how to read or develop your skills, using a wide variety of decks. Bring along and use your own favourite deck, or learn how to choose a deck to suit you. I bring at least 9 of my own decks to look at.

  • Always wanted to learn to read the Tarot but unsure where to start, or have some experience but want some support and additional information? Choose the Beginners' Workshop or Course.
  • Are you a more proficient reader wanting to study the in-depth meanings and symbolism of the cards? Choose the Intermediate Workshop or Course.

Included in the classes are ideas for layouts and guidance on how to make progress with your skills.

Intermediate classes look at the "hidden" meanings of the Tarot and its use as a tool for personal development, as well as a wider range of spreads and layouts.

Tarot Workshop days:

Pre-booking is essential as spaces are limited to ensure everyone receives individual attention. Dates are dependent on sufficient numbers attending. Max 12, min.5.

Workshops generally run from 10 am to 4 pm with a lunch & discussion break.

Beginner/Novice level: A full day of teaching and practice, generally including:

  • The origins of Tarot.
  • Comparing, choosing and using different decks.
  • The Major Arcana - a look at the meanings of the Tarot Trumps and how to connect with the cards on an energetic level.
  • The Minor Arcana - The Suits, the number (pip) cards, and the court cards.
  • Some simple layouts and how to use them.

You don't need your own deck of cards, but are welcome to bring them if you have them.

The workshop will allow you to begin reading for yourself, and is suitable for complete novices and those with some experience. It's a practical day, allowing you to develop skills.

Intermediate level: A full day of teaching and practice, including:

  • The Journey of the Tarot - the Major Arcana as the journey of the Self.
  • Getting to grips with the Court cards.
  • Reversed and badly-aspected cards.

  • The Ethics of reading for others.
  • Other topics as they arise from group discussion.

You don't need your own deck of cards, but are welcome to bring them if you have them.
